Personal Safety Training Programmes

Gary White - Principal Lecturer and Trainer

Gary has a background in law enforcement and is qualified in Self Defence Training and Close Protection. He has many years of practical 'hands on' experience in personal safety and managing conflict in many of its forms.

More recently, Gary identified a need for training programmes that changed the focus of personal safety. Many courses rely on physical techniques and the use of fine and complex motor skills as a response to aggression or violence. Gary aims to pre-empt this behaviour. By creating MRM Personal Safety Training Programmes he develops the awareness of assailant behaviour, effective communications and defusing solutions providing the skills that lead to effective personal safety choices.

This course can be supported by more traditional, practical sessions that focus on mental preparation and simple 'breakaway' techniques taught within a legal and ethical frame work. The training is innovative and designed to develop skills that can be readily transferred into the work environment.

Gary is an experienced Self Defence Instructor, National Firearms Instructor and National Close Protection Officer. He is qualified at NVQ Level 3 in Training and Development and has a Certificate in Education (Post Compulsory Education and Training).

'Let us not look back in anger or forward in fear, but around in awareness.'
