Personal Safety Training
Programme Overview
Programmes are designed to equip staff with the necessary skills to recognise to recognise and manage threats to personal safety. A theoretical course can be supported with practical training involving pragmatic techniques. Courses are presented in an informal manner so that delegates can relax and enjoy the learning experience.
The training aims to avoid concentrating exclusively on the application of physical techniques focusing on assailant behaviour and defusing solutions. Most physical techniques involve the use of fine and complex motor skills. These motor skills deteriorate under stress and require regular training to maintain any degree of competence.
Being aware of your environment and recognising potential danger is often the first step to reduce the risk of becoming a victim.
